A few days ago, another year started. Not only that, another decade. That led me to think of how my life had changed over the last decade. The changes are significant.
In 2000, I showed my art in public for the first time. I joined an art club and began painting and showing regularly. In time, I volunteered to be on the executive of that club; I also volunteered to be on the board of directors of the Art Gallery. Those changes alone were a major shift of focus in my life.
Some other changes:
In 2000, I went on a diet and lost 40 lbs. Some of those pounds have come back in the last few years and I need to this again.
In 2004, I was widowed and had to adjust to living alone.
In 2006, I retired and had my dream realized of being able to paint full time if I wanted to, or at least to have the freedom of doing whatever I want.
In 2008, I took an outside studio attached to a gallery as a step forward in my art career. Unfortunately, I had to give up the studio a year later as the venture just did not pay for itself.
So, in the last decade, I went from working full time and painting a little bit occasionally, to living the artist life full time. Life is good, I can’t complain.
What changes would I like to see in the next 10 years? Well, I’m not looking to a lot of changes, but here are the 4 things that I focus on and wish to attract into my life:
Health, Love, Success, Prosperity
And those are the things I wish for you too!
Happy New Year,
Suzette
